RADMED Mediterranean reference collection

The images in this collection originate from samples taken during RADMED cruises (series tempoRAles de Datos oceanográficos del MEDiterráneo: time series of Mediterranean oceanographic data). Radmed is a monitoring programme established in 2007 and founded by the Spanish Institute of Oceanography (IEO). It was designed to integrate previous monitoring programmes developed by different IEO centres along the Spanish Mediterranean coast. The main objective of this online collection focuses on the establishment of a “reference environmental status of the sea” that will help to study the biological parameters, their oscillations and long-term trends and relate them to physical and chemical environmental conditions
